Smoothie bowls are just the prettiest, and so fun to decorate. They can be whatever you want, and you can top them up with different fruits, nuts and seeds. I’ve wanted to try them for a while now and at last I have. And as pretty as they look, they can be calorifically deceiving. It’s so easy to get carried away on the toppings. I found that the key is to keep your base light.
Check out this vibrant pink smoothie bowl, my first ever! It was delicious but I didn’t enjoy eating it with a spoon. It was like having a mochaccino in a glass or ice-cream with a tablespoon, which for me is a big fat NO.
1 cup raspberries
1/4 cup Oats
Vanilla protein powder
180ml almond milk
Shove everything into a blender and blend until smooth. You want the consistency of it to be thick. Pour into a bowl, top with your choice of fruit, nuts and seeds. Enjoy!
