An aromatic and flavourful ayurvedic tea that is gentle, soothing, cleansing (physically, emotionally and mentally) and energising. It has the power to detox your mind and body, and help you rid of any negative energy around you.
I love herbal teas, there’s nothing quite as comforting as a cup of herbal tea. It warms your heart and gives you this instant feeling of wellness and inner peace.
Ayurveda is an ancient, holistic healing system native to India. The word Ayurveda means “the science of life”. In Ayurveda, you are what you digest. Thus, healthy digestion leads to a healthy life and unhealthy digestion leads to an unhealthy life.
“The healing tradition of Ayurveda is based on the belief that health and wellbeing depends upon our ability to digest everything we take in from the environment. This includes not only tangible substances like food and drink, but also our experiences, emotions, and the impressions we take in via our sensory portals namely our eyes, ears, tongue and skin.” Sheila Patal
Lately, I have been experimenting making fresh tea using different combinations of herbs and spices and that’s how this Ayurvedic tea came about. I like to mix a little bit of this and a little bit of that ranging from mint, peppermint, lemon myrtle, parsley, fennel, lemon verbena, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric, lemon etc. I throw everything into a teapot and wait for the magic. And that’s the beauty of herbal tea, it can be whatever you want. So experiment, and mix things up a little and find a blend that your tastebuds will love.
This Ayurvedic tea is a blend of green tea, fresh turmeric, fresh ginger, fresh fennel, cinnamon, cloves, cayenne pepper and lemon juice. It’s absolutely delicious. It’s also a great detox, aids in digestion and boost metabolism.
